Features

The Blueback System Center is installed on all PCs used for running Petrel. It executes at Petrel start-up, collects various information about the Petrel environment, and saves it in a central database used for reporting and analytics. The tool identifies Petrel settings and hardware issues affecting the Petrel performance.

Blueback System Center Viewer Dashboard

The Blueback System Center Viewer is the main window to the Blueback System Center database. The Viewer contains all views in the database shown in both tables and graphs. The dashboard in the Viewer gives a visual impression of the status on the Petrel environment. The graphs show trends over time and changes can easily be spotted.

Performance profiling

The graph shows an example graph of Petrel memory utilization from Blueback System Center performance profiling.

Petrel start-up time

The graph is showing Petrel start-up time over time. The graph can be used to see if the start-up time suddenly increases at a certain time or if it is increasing over time. A suddenly increase might be due to a change in the environment, i.e. installation of a plug-in.

Comparison: machines and system requirements for Petrel

A Petrel system requirement profile can be chosen and requirements that not fulfill the specifications for Petrel will be highlighted in red. This is applicable for CPU type, Graphics cards, Memory GB and OS. The requirements profiles can be changed between some already predefined profiles or it can be made new profiles manually
